Looking for the best extended rear brake lines for your 2001-02 3rd gen 4Runner with Traction Control? Most vendors will sell you a set of lines that are good for a 3" lift. However, you'll notice that with a lift in the rear, these lines are often too short and limit travel.
How Do I Know if I Have Traction Control?
3rd gen 4Runners with traction control have two brake lines connected between the rear frame (behind the gas tank) and the rear axle. If you only have one brake line there, you can purchase a single Stainless Steel Extended Rear Brake Line (96-04 Tacoma, 96-00 4Runner)

Made of a heavy duty braided stainless steel, these DOT-approved, PTFE lined, brake lines have a gray or red PVC oversleeve to protect the line from snags and abrasion. These lines also reduce swelling under pressure, resulting in a more consistent braking experience than the stock rubber lines.
We'll also include brake line clips as well, which can be used to replace the existing clips where these lines connect to the rear brackets at the frame of the truck and on the rear axle.
