Look everyone, Jason's back! He started commenting a while ago on every post I made, with the one liner "Stop posting locations."
The first three (I've cataloged here) were reasonably straight forward.
Funny thing was, I wasn't posting locations of anything secret - I'd mention places like "Utah," "Grand Gulch," or "Capitol Reef National Park." Those that know me also know that I'm reasonably tight-lipped with locations, having outlined my approach to sharing here: https://adventuretaco.com/guide/do-you-have-a-gpx-for-that/
I replied to Jason a few times, explaining the situation to him. Others replied as well, letting him know that he wasn't being all that helpful. After all, if you cry wolf when there's no threat, those times when it really does matter - when a special place is shared - no one will listen.

I even let Jason know that he wasn't helping his cause - every time he tried to stir up trouble, the Facebook Algorithm would kick in, sending my post to even more people. If there'd been locations to be learned, he was doing a good job of spreading them around!
Of course, I never heard back from Jason in comments, he was just trolling. So easy to do these days for those who hide behind their keyboards.
But Jason wasn't done. Unsatisfied, he's stepped up his game. He's no longer asking me to refrain from sharing locations, now he's moved on to (attempted) personal insults.
Stepping up your game Jason, the algorithm loves it!
Thing is, he's not very good at these, either. Frankly, I'm starting to wonder if he's a lame AI bot. I sort of doubt it, but it'd be hilarious if he were! Whatever the case, I'll just continue to enjoy the ride, and I hope you do too!
For now, I hereby award Jason the highest possible honor of social media: The Keyboard Commando!

I'm sure Jason's commented on more of my posts (and will comment on more in the future). I'm not very skilled at the searching of the Facebook, so if you have more examples of his contributions, I'd love for you to drop me a comment below so I can add to my collection!
