It's been another great year to be out exploring!

It was a bit tougher to get out for much of the year - I haven't mentioned it anywhere, but my main task this year was a kitchen remodel for @mrs.turbodb. An nine-month project that started with building the cabinets, we consistently progressed through a down-to-the-studs demolition, load-bearing-wall-removal, replumbing, rewiring (bye bye knob and tube), and then rebuilding everything from there. I'm not a fan of hiring work out, so only the granite countertops were done by someone else.

Still, I was quite happy to have still gotten out on a good number of trips, and we probably spent more time exploring this year than we did last, just because there was less driving to "get there."

Trips: 19 | Tent nights: 74 | Total photos: 3591

This year, looking through my favorite photos, it was fun to see a couple new styles of photo pop up. Early in the year, I was introduced to these little LED puck lights, and I've really enjoyed taking them into mines and other structures to create some interesting effects. Near the end of the year, I picked up a new flying camera, and I've found that the perspective from above really adds a new dimension. I'm not sure if these trends will continue into future years, but it's definitely a difference with this year's batch.

I've compiled a few of these photos into a 2024 Calendar. Most of the price of the calendars go to the printing company, but about a gallon of gas worth (theoretically) ends up my direction. If you are interested and pick one up, thank you!
